As I look at the Acts church I see a church that functions and acts very differently than most today. They did life together.
They lived with each other walked with each other ate together, and "had everything in common." It's a beautiful picture and I think that we are missing out severely by doing life on our own. I want us to live that out. That's why I created a group on facebook called Share. Here's the full idea, and yes, this is the same thing I posted on the Share page. So here is the idea behind the group Share. it's really multifaceted actually. I want us to share life together. I want us to be able to share about what God is doing in our lives and at our schools as we all go away. And also I want us to live like the Acts church and just share our possessions. One of the cries of my heart lately has been, God make me generous beyond my means. Pretty much I want to have a life where when God asks me to give something I want to give no matter if it seems possible or not at the time. I have been so blessed at times when others have followed the call and given me crazy awesome gifts. And it is amazing to be able to give too. So the idea is that if there is ever a need, you post it on here. And no matter what we all commit to praying for that person in that need. And if God asks one of us to give, then we give. We do life together. So there it is. Let me know what you think. And feel free to leave this group if you don't want to be apart. I promise I won't be offended by any means." In my mind I see this thing branching out into a ton of groups of Christians and people all over the world. How cool would it be if there was a group of people who just gave when God said give. We have all been blessed So much. I have far beyond my needs. I want to share that, I want to give. Let me know what you think.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightening about shrinking so other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some; it’s in all, everyone. And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -Marianne Williamson If anyone ever tells me: "I just threw on the first thing I found." I tell them: "You are a dirty rotten liar. Go think about what you've done while you sit in the corner." |
